My name is Catherine Curley. I am a fourth year student at San Diego State University and an aspiring journalist. Although I have been uncertain about the career I want to pursue, I have become more drawn to news room journalism and reporting the past couple of years. I am also interested in doing more opinion reporting. I am interested in a variety of jobs but overall, I want to use my degree in journalism to create media and tell important stories. During this class, I want to develop the skills to tell those stories. Through creating this website I hope to learn how to display my work and become more comfortable in the new age of digital journalism. This semester, I will follow a beat that I'm passionate about and aim to expand the tools I have available, in order to communicate it fully and fairly.
